Pastor Tony Fields
About Us

Pastor Tony Fields was born and raised in Elyria, Ohio (just west of Cleveland), and is a long-suffering Cleveland sports fan. He has spent 6 years in the US Air Force, and spent the five years prior to enrolling at Concordia Seminary working at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and listening in on as many classes on management and mentoring as he could. Pastor Fields believes in life-long learning as an important tenet of Christian life, and puts a strong emphasis on mentoring and discipling church members of all ages to be active in the church and in their faith. He also is passionate about spreading the Good News that Jesus Christ is for the lost, the lonely, the hungry, the isolated, and the exhausted – God’s hurting people! Tony counts his recent work in Chaplaincy at the St. Louis County Jail to be one of the most exciting non-family experiences with which he has ever been blessed. His hobbies include cooking, softball, widely varied interests in music, martial arts, and coaching youth sports.
Tony met his wife, Heather, in Santa Paula, California during his service time in the Air Force. She was born and bred in the LCMS, and one of the first things she ever said to Tony was “Someday I see myself as a pastor’s wife”, back in 2003. At the time, Tony laughed and laughed. Heather is a college educated stay-at-home mom who also loves to cook, has a heart for supporting the pro-life movement, and has a strong love of all kinds of arts and crafts. They have three living children: Skylar, Jacob, and Chloe. They wait with joyful hope to meet their two children who died in the womb in the revelation of God’s new creation.
Pastor Fields has been serving as Pastor at St. Paul's since July, 2017. His sermons can be heard on KGGF Radio in the 7:00 hour on Sunday mornings in conjunction with the Lutheran Hour, or here on the St. Paul's website.
